"The surprise St. Patrick’s birthday dinner for 16 couldn’t have been nicer!
Guests were greeted by tastefully decorated tables in a green and white theme as well as the gorgeous view over Badin Lake. The birthday person’s favorite foods were beautifully and deliciously prepared. All of the guests declared the evening to be “over the top”!

"We knew our experience would be different than going to an upscale restaurant in Charlotte, that’s why we chose the Badin Lake Supper Club as our venue. Having discussed our tailor-made menu with the female “chef de cuisine” several times, our expectations were high, knowing that the gourmet food, the attention to details and the ambience would be unique.
Since our theme of the evening was “Winter Dinner at the Lake” our group assembled first in front of a roaring fire for our Canapés and Prosecco. Shortly thereafter we were escorted into the dining room which was spectacularly decorated in a winter theme display with all white linens, silver tree branches draped with pearls, glittering lights, snowflakes suspended from the chandelier and many candles.
At each place setting there were printed place cards and menu cards that featured our agreed upon 6 course menu that coordinated with the winter scene.
Every course was not only a delight to the eyes---served on antique china, beautifully presented and imaginatively garnished but a sensory experience for the palate. Just when we thought it couldn’t get any better and we couldn’t eat another bite, our fabulous dessert arrived. Perfectly puffed Grand Marnier Soufflés with a Creme Anglaise Sauce. We thought we had died and gone to Heaven!
Upon exiting we were each handed a small beautifully gift-wrapped box which held an individual home-made Belgium chocolate truffle. Talk about attention to details!
Our evening at the Badin Lake Supper Club was more than just a dinner for us. It was an event that was designed especially for us and our guests. We couldn’t have experienced this in a traditional restaurant setting. It was a unique experience, one that will remain a wonderful memory for us and something we intend to do again!"

"My wife and I are on a "plant-based/no oil" diet so Badin Lake Supper Club had quite a challenge. We know that they were determined to meet and even exceed our expectations...and they did! Wow! We were part of a 12-person group and were served all the different courses as the other 10, so it came off like clock-work. From the initial planning, BLSC sincerely wanted to know our restrictions and our likes and dislikes. Then they wondered if we'd be comfortable if they went ahead to create our meal. With the attention and sincerity they showed, we were happy to trust their judgement and creativeness. We were not disappointed. So, they can certainly handle restrictive diets in a beautiful way. Of course, to compliment the fabulous food, the atmosphere (lighting, views, service, music) were downright excellent. BLSC is a "must do"!

"When you need a caterer for a large or small party {Badin Lake Supper Club} is the one to call. {They} prepared two of the most delicious hors'd oeuvres for me. The gorgonzola, prosciutto puff pastry twists were perfect and the mini Ruben tarts were superb.
Both were different from the norm. My only complaint was that my guests ate everyone of them and I had none to munch on later!"

"It was a clear, cool, and and gloriously pleasant evening overlooking beautiful Badin Lake at sunset, with a glowing half moon to dress the sky. This setting at the new Badin Lake Supper Club was perfection with a lovely table for two, set with exquisite china, crystal and silver. Tiki torches lined the glowing night-lit pool, and music of our choosing settled us in happily with our first glass of wine and the promise of the meal to come. The host, in starched white shirt and black pants, was charming and informative, even producing binoculars so that we could gaze more closely at birds and landscape in the distance. The Chef is not only a master chef but a beautiful one at that, dressed professionally in her black Badin Lake Supper Club chef's uniform and involved just to the right degree with each course. The engraved menu and personal anniversary welcome topped the beginning of our experience.
The appetizer of pizzettes with caramelized onions, goat cheese and prosciutto leapt off the plate as though it was the whole meal. The homemade bread was light with a crisp crust enhanced by the herbed-garlic butter. The pancetta wrapped nectarines over arugula greens was attractive and delicious. Our entree was succulent jumbo shrimp over linguini with Meyer lemon oil----tasting as though we were surely in Italy. The dessert was to-die-for warm chocolate soufflé and homemade pistachio ice cream. Our hosts graciously allowed us to stray from the Italian menu we had chosen, to satisfy our always-present craving for chocolate.
The whole evening was a night to remember.
